The KIC started working on creating a process and documents to allow companies to introduce engines in 2002 the process was completed in 2004. These homologation (official confirmation) processes were adopted by WKA, IKF and TAG USA. The concept is simple. In 1959, during karting’s early beginnings, Competition Karting, Inc. had its early beginnings as well.
