Engine Homologation Worksheets

The KIC started working on creating a process and documents to allow companies to introduce engines in 2002 the process was completed in 2004.  These homologation (official confirmation) processes were adopted by WKA, IKF and TAG USA. The concept is simple.  If an engine manufacturer or distributor introduces an engine to meet your organizations platform, the engine’s parts and components must meet the approved specifications moving forward.  This is beneficial for sanctioning bodies, engine manufacturers and importers.

  1. Devalue the importance of the bargaining chip — don’t let someone know how important it is to you.
  2. If you reach an impasse, set aside the key issue and create momentum by reaching agreement on little points.
  3. Never jump at the first offer, however well as it looks.
